These Impact wood screws 5.0 × 70mm are heavy-duty, zinc & yellow passivated structural screws, supplied in a robust site tub containing approximately 1,200 screws, complete with driver bits included for immediate use.

Designed specifically for impact drivers, these screws feature a Type 17 point for fast starting without splitting, a ribbed double countersunk head for a clean, flush finish, and a part-threaded shank to draw timber sections tightly together while eliminating jacking. The milling shank assists clearance through the first timber layer, improving clamp force and fixing efficiency.

Manufactured for structural timber applications and compliant with EN 10083-2 / EN 14592, the 70mm length is ideal for thicker timber sections, built-up battens, trimmers, plywood overlays and multi-layer roof build-ups, where increased embedment depth and pull-out resistance are required without stepping up to full 80mm fixings
