Product: Fibre Cement Board (Flat Sheet Cladding / Soffit / Backer Board)
Typical size: 1200mm x 2400mm | Thickness: 6mm, 9mm, 12mm (common options)
Fibre Cement Board is a high-performance, non-combustible building board manufactured from a mixture of cement, cellulose fibres and mineral fillers. It is designed for use in external and internal applications, including cladding, soffits, tile backing, and general construction where durability and moisture resistance are required.
The board offers excellent resistance to moisture, rot, and fungal attack, making it suitable for use in demanding environments. It is dimensionally stable and will not warp or degrade when exposed to wet conditions, providing a reliable substrate for a wide range of finishes.
Fibre cement boards are classified as A1 or A2-s1, d0 reaction to fire (non-combustible), offering high levels of fire resistance in compliance with UK building regulations. This makes them suitable for use in fire-rated systems and façade applications.
The boards provide good impact resistance and mechanical strength, while remaining workable using standard cutting tools. They can be fixed to timber or metal framing systems using appropriate screws or nails, and can be finished with paint, render systems, or cladding finishes.
Fully compliant with BS EN 12467 (Fibre-cement flat sheets) and relevant UK building standards, fibre cement boards are widely used across residential and commercial construction projects.
