FELT TYPE 1F 🦇❤️

Felt Type 1F is a traditional bitumen roofing felt designed for use as an underlay or separating layer in a range of roofing and construction applications. Manufactured to a fibreglass base with bitumen impregnation, it offers good dimensional stability and resistance to tearing during installation.

Commonly used beneath slates, tiles, leadwork and other sheet materials, Type 1F felt acts as a protective layer, helping to reduce abrasion between materials and providing secondary protection against moisture ingress. It is particularly suited to heritage roofing, traditional build-ups and general construction detailing where breathable membranes are not specified.

Lightweight and easy to handle, Felt Type 1F is suitable for new build, refurbishment and repair works, and is frequently used in conjunction with timber substrates, lead sheet and pitched roofing components.
