Over Fascia Ventilation System (OFVS) Eaves Tray is a combined eaves support tray and ventilation unit designed for use at the roof eaves to provide consistent airflow into the roof void while preventing insulation from blocking the ventilation path. It is commonly used in cold roof constructions to maintain a continuous 10mm airflow in line with UK building regulations.

Manufactured from rigid extruded PVC (uPVC), the tray supports the roofing underlay at the eaves, preventing sagging and ensuring rainwater is directed safely into the gutter. The integrated ventilation section provides a 10mm continuous ventilation gap (equivalent to 10,000mm²/m airflow), suitable for most standard pitched roof applications.

The OFVS tray incorporates a built-in bird comb or insect grille (on selected variants), preventing pest ingress while maintaining free airflow. Its design ensures compatibility with breathable roofing membranes and traditional felt systems.

Fully compliant with BS 5250:2021 (Management of moisture in buildings) and BS 5534:2014+A2, the system helps control condensation risk by promoting effective ventilation at the eaves level.

The unit is lightweight, durable, and quick to install, typically fixed directly onto the fascia board beneath the roofing membrane. It is suitable for both new build and refurbishment roofing projects.
